Gainesville is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gainesville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Bushel and Peck is one of the hidden gems of Gainesville. The baked goods are fantastic, the coffee is handcrafted and always great, and it’s in a really cool part of the city. It’s become a popular neighborhood spot for a reason. It has that genuinely local Gainesville feel that’s hard to replicate. Definitely worth stopping by grabbing a coffee and something baked and checking it out.

Visited this weekend, and was charged $16.17 for three small sugar pretzels. The pretzels are very buttery on the bottom, which may cause the caramelization of the sugar on the bottom. However, in some places on the bottom, the sugar is so caramelized it tastes almost burnt and has a tough texture. The shop is located in what looked like a sketchy area with questionable parking. The employees looked shocked to see me when I walked in, as if they weren’t use to seeing customers like me. They were very friendly once they got over their shock, but I probably won’t return, as I don’t feel the pretzels are worth the price.

wow this place is amazing!! i’ve visited twice (both on fridays) and have had wonderful experiences with the food, coffee and service. the baristas are very approachable and kind, even with a full store they were very patient and made an excellent iced earl grey latte!! they use Resident’s Big Shot for their espresso drinks which is an amazing choice in my opinion <3 i was also very impressed with their selection of house-made syrups, which flavor the drinks but don’t make them overly sweet. i got the sweet potato cinnamon roll after much deliberation (their pastry case is unreal and changes often!) and was blown away. i’ve tried a few of their baked goods now and each one has been so richly flavored and thoughtfully prepared. their baker (bushel & peck) is seriously so impressive and very kind :’) i want to try everything they make!! the cafe itself is very cute too! plenty of seating next to big windows which create an enjoyable sunny atmosphere. this would be a great place for a coffee date or to hangout :) overall i would highly recommend bushel & peck with lowbar!! editing to add that i got this pretzel au chocolat today that actually changed my life. if you come here and

The sweet potato cinnamon rolls are amazing! Depending on the day and time expect a line but the wait is worth it. Great coffee drinks and amazing fresh made pastries!
